Here's a clip of Jim Walton at ''If It Only Runs a Minute,'' recalling ''Merrily We Roll Along'' and what a dream and disaster it was.

He sings ''Good Thing Going'' and tells a hilarious story about Jason Alexander and Sondheim (complete with his impression of Steve).

Jim should've had more shots at stardom (and a Tony), but he's that rare working actor with a lifetime of Broadway credits. He may not be above the title, but whenever you see him in the ensemble, or as a replacement, he's gonna give his all. And he'll always have ''Merrily'' as his claim to fame.

And, yes, Peter3053, I've forwarded all these wonderful postings to Jim, and he is incredibly flattered and touched by all these kind words.
