I have a problem with the appropriation of Ziegfeld's "Glorifying the American Girl," and even admitting in the article that it was Flo's slogan, not the fictional Dimitri's. I don't have a problem accepting Dimitri, like the Shuberts and their PASSING SHOWS or the EARL CARROLL VANITIES, was a competitor of Ziegfeld. But that phrase--for me, anyway-- says Ziegfeld, and no one else.
