| I saw my first actual show-stopping number - defined as one in which the performer was forced to do it again - when Ray Bolger did Once in Love with Amy (Where's Charley?). I realize that all that proves is that I am old. For greatest pleasure (which is different from show-stopping, imo), I delight in Someone in a Tree (Pacific Overtures) and One (Finale, A Chorus Line). And too many others to list. |
