''Torch Song'' was his last Broadway show, and his film credits include ''Garbo Talks.'' He died of AIDS in 1986, at age 34.
The Playbill for Harvey Fierstein's next Broadway play, the short-lived ''Safe Sex'' (1987), featured a dedication to Miller.
Fierstein told the N.Y. Times that Miller's illness was diagnosed in 1983: ''He was a bull and he fought it, but it was sometimes very painful to go on with him when he was so bad off. Other times, there was a joyous feeling onstage, because we all felt we were fighting it together.'' |
