| One of my very favorite actresses, Linda Lavin, turns 80 today! I always liked her television work, but it was seeing her onstage in The New Century that really turned me into a fan. She absolutely holds an audience in the palm of her hand. I was lucky enough to meet her after her cabaret act at Birdland in 2014, and she was warm and kind. Happy birthday to a great lady and performer! |
