| Here's the wonderful clip of them flirting from the film of ''Torch Song Trilogy'' (below). I also saw Kerwin, when he played Ed in ''Torch Song Trilogy'' (opposite Donald Corren as Arnold) in San Francisco in 1983. (Could anyone have seen Kerwin in the 1989 revival of ''Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?'' in L.A.? Edward Albee directed it, and it starred John Lithgow and Glenda Jackson as George and Martha, and Cynthia Nixon as Honey. ... His last Broadway show was ''August: Osage County'' (2007).) In San Francisco, Meg Mackay, the terrific cabaret singer, played Laurel, Ed's wife, and Lady Blues, who sang some standards. In the newly revised ''Torch Song,'' have they gotten rid of Lady Blues? |
