Fox has officially launched an Oscar campaign for Jackman's early 2017 hit LOGAN, both at the box office and with critics ( 93% film rating at Rotten Tomatoes). It was the first movie to send screeners for AMPAS/Guild voters this year, as the first phase of the campaign. It was also his farewell movie from Fox's premiere movie franchise ( XMen series) and was hailed as a major departure in theme and tone from the superhero genre. Jackman has been considered as the face of the XMen franchise in the last 17 years.
