Ohio Light Opera did Jubilee several years ago and I absolutely loved it. I agree about the topical references, but if you do know them, they are still funny. I'm surprised NY Encores! has never done it (at least I don't think they have) - it would be a perfect choice for them, in my opinion.
I wasn't as crazy about One Touch of Venus, but that may have been because of the limitations of this company. Sometimes the casting and production elements get in the way. |
