I see that there is supposed to be a lab reading of this musical in NYC next month. I reviewed this show when it played at The Old Globe, and I thought that it was promising (review linked below). The same director/choreographer is listed but the cast looks to be significantly different.
There was a problem with the rights when the show was in San Diego. Competing musicals existed, and the author of the original book was in dispute with the creators of this version. Anyone know how or if that dispute was resolved?
