Playbill.com did a Q&A with him back then, and he dishes a lot about his early days and theatrical ambitions.

* While he was starting out, ''Michael Park and Marc Kudisch let me crash on their couch so many times that I probably owe them rent.''

* ''Growing up, I thought wanted a career like Mandy Patinkin's ... but then I got really famous at 20 and screwed that plan up royally.''

* ''Being onstage feels like touching home base to me.'' ... ''Broadway was the first career goal I ever had'' and he still wants to get there.
