Ny usedmto have strong anti scalping laws so many brokers were registered in nj. I think ny relaxed the laws. Most laws allow resale for not more than 10 or 20 percent above face vaule. Some didnt allow resale within x feet from theater. once when i was selling a lct ticket for member price to someone who was looking for a single, boxoffice told us to move out of the lobby ticket area and i wasnt making any profit. But ive been approached in front of theaters by scalpers asking well above face value. And of course onnline sales have no limits and encouraged by ticketmaster and stubhub since higher ticketmprice, more profit for them.
