Is anyone else finding the battle to get tickets exhausting and expensive?

After wasting a large portion of Wednesday dealing with trying to get Harry Potter tickets, and all of the hoops to try to get Springsteen tickets, I'm kind of soured on the whole ticket buying process for the hot shows. It used to be easy -- you find out the onsale date and time, then go and get the tickets. Now it feels like an endeavor.

I'm not looking forward to entering the fray on Monday for My Fair Lady tickets. The LCT sales rarely go smoothly.

And the prices are becoming crazy. Last season, I paid $145 for The Front Page and $189 for Hello Dolly on the first day of sale, and that was the top non-premium price for both. Now Harry Potter is $199 and Springsteen has an average price of $500. People are paying $120 to sit in the balcony at Harry Potter. I'm glad Hamilton was a success, but it really changed the playing field for pricing.

I realize that this is a first-world problem, and I am grateful I can go at all. Sorry for the mini-rant.
