| It may be less a drop in the supply of new musicals and more a lack of available theatres. I don't know how many shows are ready to go and just waiting for theatres, but I do know we're not getting announcements for the spring because there are no theatres available. Aside from the Nederlander only just released by War Paint there's nothing available for spring 2018 (or even for fall 2018) until some currently running or just-starting shows close. And half of last season's musical crop don't show any signs of giving up their theatres soon. |
