I saw it on Monday night. I also saw it at the Atlantic. It moved well. My friend was seeing it for the first time. At the end of the show he said, Katrina Lenk is a star and this show is very puzzling.

I found the acting in the scene work to be top-notch, adding to the opinion that it is more a play with music than a musical. The musical numbers are almost superfluous. I don't disagree that they are character and plot-driven; they come across as asides, almost inner monologues.

Cariani's appeal is lost on me. Didn't care for him in SOMETHING ROTTEN. He is fine here, but not "all that," IMHO. Not Tony-worthy in my book.

I have to wonder if this show will last until the Tony's. It's a big house to fill eight shows/week.
