So well said. Yes.

And there's that individual aspect, too. A week ago, I saw Richard III at BAM; I was in the right frame of mind for it, and thought it was super (even though my butt was on that seat for almost 3 hours with no intermission). I wouldn't have been in the best frame of mind for it last night because of a few things. Perhaps last week, I would have walked out of Portuguese Kid with far more negativity than I did. So strange how that works. But what I bring to the show in myself is always a factor in how I perceive the show after.

Probably would make me a lousy critic!
