| Which raises the question, “Is the Verified Ticket”procedure even legal? If something is up for sale to the general public, and then huge portions of that general public are virtually blocked from the opportunity to purchase goods, how is this legal? Why aren’t theatre goers complaining in droves to local politicians about the legality of scalping and price gouging? Stubhub and Ticketmaster’s resale department should be shut down. If people complained about the greed and questionable practices by closing their wallets and refusing to jump through hoops to purchase tickets, prices would plummet. Off Broadway subscriptions are a preferred and affordable alternative to the current Broadway circus. |
