You should get an email. I was in the same situation.

And, honestly, the way I feel is they do "give a crap" about their members by not investing in a bigger system to process the 10:00am sales launches, which would lead to raising member/ticket prices (even more). Things do settle down later.

The Public Theater web site can be worse and now that they have previews only members, regular members can get shut out of previews because there are a lot of members who only will buy those preview tickets. Though lately I've found that tickets become available for previews a week or two before the start of previews.

Agreed. I'm disappointed about the Public because it now shuts down "second-tier" members from smaller, shorter-term shows. I don't think we matter at all.

With LCT, at least the shows run longer. I'm assured of a seat, whether it's exactly where I'd like it to be or the date I'd prefer. As Ann said below, I wish they'd show a live seating chart rather than make one keep checking for another seat, but I got through an hour after it all started and I have a seat at a far better price than what will be available to non-members.

Not suggesting that it can't be improved (the phone line is still not working, I believe, which was an issue as I couldn't get to a real computer until 11, and trying on a mobile phone was a total no-go), but agreeing that compared to the Public, it's still better.

Aha. I was wondering why you were tardy this time! Yes, don't even try it on a phone or tablet. What a fine mess that would be.

I would hate that system for LCT. I go late in the run, so the competition for a great seat would really be fierce. They'd get shut out and cut into my dates.

It really does clear out at 11 AM! You must be willing to attend in late spring or even summer. I'm going the last week of the run, but front row center is my style.

Sorry. I disagree. Waiting online for over an hour and being booted by the system multiple times is just not acceptable in 2017. It hasn't been acceptable for 15 years now.

Lincoln Center Theatre is not a struggling, poor organization. Their sponsors have heavy pockets and it gets funding from multiple sources. They pride themselves for being "the pre-eminent theater in the country". I don't freak out about their appalling service towards their members but it doesn't mean it's acceptable.

But thanks for the email tip. Hope to get a confirmation soon.

I guess I'd put my animus toward commercial producers who make ticket-buying much more difficult and disappointing. I've never been shut out of buying an under $100 ticket for Lincoln Center, even if I sometimes have to wait.
