Satisfied with Limcoln Center

All the huffing and puffing about Lincoln Center today requires that I post a comment (which I rarely do). So, I went on line this morning to get a ticket to My fair Lady and soon realized that the site was quite busy. So I went away and returned shortly after noon ... within a couple of minutes I got a good seat (H205) for the first choice date in April. If the critics love the production, my $75. seat will be the bargain of the year. If they pan the show, well $75. is, by today's outrageous prices, still a small investment. Thank you Lincoln Center for still having a membership program that, for me anyway, is a good deal. (And, I live in Upstate and have nothing to do with the Center.)

You really can't beat the price for the location, and after being shut out of the Harry Potter "lottery" I am just glad to have had an opportunity to buy a ticket. At least with memberships, the "verified fans" are bona fide theater fans. And you are not charged $800 for pair of tickets.

Especially with shows that have a long run, I usually wait a couple of hours as well and have never had a problem getting a decent seat. I'm flexible with dates, though.

I went in right at 10, got dumped a few times, but ended up with an excellent seat on my first-choice date in 22 minutes.
