Coincidentally, I just saw a revival of another Ed Gracyzk play, A MURDER OF CROWS, at a theatre in suburban Philadelphia. This one had a brief run off-Broadway in 1988 with Kim Hunter in the lead.
I thought it was a pretty terrific play, kind of a darker version of something Horton Foote might have written. It's about some people who are in the process of vacating their small Ohio farm town because pollution has seeped into the ground water and soil and has made the town uninhabitable. I was unfamiliar with it prior to this, but it could probably stand revival today.
Anybody happen to catch this back in the 1980's? |
