I didn't see the show on Broadway. Is there much of a set? It alsmotalmost seems like the tour could only be a staged reading with such numerous one night performances.

It seems to be what used to be referred to as a bus and truck tour - perfectly doable. It also seems to be an Equity tour at least. good for them if it is.

As I recall, it's not a lot of big pieces, but a lot of moving parts. There are a lot of locations. And some hysterical aerial effects.

I assume the arial effects were not intended to be funny

This is probably one of the biggest flops on Broadway to actual tour. When it closed and announced it would tour I didn't believe the producers.

It's the end of the first act...shipwreck! hero about to drown! So he's on a wire thrashing around in front of a dark blue flat when lo, swimming down from the proscenium comes the slave who rescues him, turning him away from slave trading!

It's one of those moments when a show that's already ludicrously bad goes above and beyond, and you're glad the music is so loud, so not too many people will hear your giggling.
