| Yikes. That is over 2000 seats and really can’t be shrunk for plays like they do for golden gate. I wonder why they are squeezing this show between color purple and school of rock. What is at golden gate? To bad curran doesn’t have a season. | |

| I had hoped that Carole Shorenstein Hays would be able to snag it for the Curran. A much better venue and the show would fit with the types of productions she's seeking. | |

| Taylor mac? You could have had a season of bright star, the humans, love never dies and the red shoes. That would have been a nice subscription package. | |

| From where we sit, some of those theaters are too big for plays | |

| What a terrible idea to book a play into the 2,200-seat Orpheum in S.F. ... Or into the 2,300-seat Cadillac in Chicago. And it's going to the 2,084-seat Ahmanson in L.A. (But I read that it can be reconfigured to 1,600 seats for a play.) By contrast, ''The Humans'' opened on Broadway at the 1,080-seat Schoenfeld ... and then moved to the 597-seat Helen Hayes. |

| I'm used to seeing shows move from larger theaters to smaller ones (like ''Mamma Mia!'' went from the Winter Garden to the Broadhurst). | |

| We're not getting the tour - but there's a local production next month. In a theater that seats about 600, I think. | |

| A question--while the show may have additional cities not yet announced--there are 4 different gaps/open week(s) on the schedule--do the actors on tour with the show paid for some or all the off weeks? | |

| If assume they will book those dates | |

| It could be that a subscription announcement needs to be made for a venue before printing in a list like this. That has happened in San Fran that they want to announce the subscription package first. If this is an equity tour, i believe that actors are paid for weeks not booked unless it extends beyond several weeks where the production would probably officially shut down and relaunch. I wouldn't be surprised if actors aren't paid in Non equity tours. | |
