It's funny how the costumes are a bit more...modest...than what they wear in the show. I wonder if that's due to not wanting to shock the TODAY viewers over their morning coffee or if there was some concern about the temperature that day.
I'm really reminded about how CHICAGO really took pains in those days to cast dancers who were character types, rather than fielding an entire ensemble of Ken doll gym rats. I liked that. One of my favorite things about going to CHICAGO in those days was watching someone like Jim Borstelmann, who looks like a football player, put his ankle on his forehead. |
