Riedel says Meteor Shower advance has hit $7 million. Anyone interested in this one?

Since I love Laura Benanti, this one has my attention.

Apparently others are paying attention as well.

I read an interview where Amy was saying the Broadway schedule would work for her because "You can get really hammered and wake up late". The article says this is a joke but for example having seen her live she drinks heavily from a bottle of wine while doing standup. I do wonder if Amy will miss a lot of shows, most Broadway performers I have heard say they have to live like saints to be able to meet the 8 show a week schedule.

as long as she doesn't eat sushi, she'll be fine

I actually think the heavy drinking shtick is just part of her act. She's a triple threat, more Tina Fey in her work ethic, to write/act/perform, than talent for hire. I'd guess she'll be fine just acting.

Gilda Radner, maybe not a bad general model for moving from media to B'way, did the Jean Kerr play Lunch Hour back in the day (not a good play) and had great attendance.

If they offer standing room for Sat. evening, 11/11, I might check it out. I like the cast.

I'm seeing it purely for the cast. I love Laura Benanti and though I'm not sure how Schumer will do on stage, she certainly knows her way around a zinger on screen.

And the Booth is one of my favorite houses; it's easy to talk me into seeing a show there.

I love Benanti, too, but I haven't see one Steve Martin play that was actually good.

I love Laura Benanti, too, and this odd show will need a cast that’s good with jokes to make it succeed.

Alan Tudyk wasn't good enough, I guess.

I'm not too interested. I don't really like Amy Schmuer and as to Benanti, well I like her but she doesn't seem to like me: Saw "Into the Woods" she was out. Saw "Nine" she was out. Saw "The Wedding Singer" she was out. Saw "She Loves Me." well, you see the pattern.

For some reason she must have not got the word that I was attending Gypsy because surprisingly she was there.

for this play.
