I actually think the heavy drinking shtick is just part of her act. She's a triple threat, more Tina Fey in her work ethic, to write/act/perform, than talent for hire. I'd guess she'll be fine just acting.
Gilda Radner, maybe not a bad general model for moving from media to B'way, did the Jean Kerr play Lunch Hour back in the day (not a good play) and had great attendance. |
