Jack Bannon obituary; includes Cheyenne Jackson quote
Posted by: TimDunleavy 08:07 pm EDT 10/26/17

An excellent obituary for an actor who, after his time in Hollywood was done, ended up doing a ton of local theatre in Idaho and Washington.

I had not known about his family connections; his mother was PETTICOAT JUNCTION star Bea Benaderet.

And I'll always remember him for his chilling turn as Mr. McAllister, the grieving-husband-turned-killer-turned-rapist, on ST. ELSEWHERE. He really showed incredible range in that role.

Jack Bannon, who played assistant city editor Art Donovan on the Emmy-winning TV series “Lou Grant,” and who since 1995 has lived in Coeur d’Alene with his wife, Ellen Travolta, died Wednesday. He was 77.
