I didn't realize Bannon had such a rich theatrical history, and I didn't know who his Emmy-nominated mother or wife were.
Bannon was terrific on ''Lou Grant'' (1977-1982), when many folks still read newspapers and questions of ethical coverage were good drama.
As an asst. editor, Bannon came off full of integrity and dedicated to the facts (unlike a current-day Bannon who creates too many headlines).
