| Very astute review Michael. "Flat" is the ideal word to describe Clive Owen's performance, particularly in the scenes with the wonderful Jin Ha. I'd also call his relationship with Song "clinical": I felt he was constantly observing, never interacting. It was almost as if he saw her as a specimen. Perhaps that was his intention, but if so, it is totally misguided. HIs obsession with Song should be paramount, yet I felt nothing. |
