'Holiday Inn' is booked for movie theaters on Nov. 16, but the timing is hard to Fathom

Fathom Events is presenting the Roundabout's ''Holiday Inn'' in movie theaters on Thurs., Nov. 16.

But it's gonna be airing nationally on PBS' ''Great Performances'' the following Friday on Nov. 24.

Why didn't they space them further apart? Who'll pay to see it in a movie theater, when it's free on PBS (and later its website) the next Friday?

I got it in the mail this week as a bonus feature on the new Blu-ray release of the original movie. $13 for both.
