| Is this the Tom Jones/Harvey Schmidt version? I have heard a song or two from this version on various compilations, although for the life of me I can't remember which and I liked what I heard. Am I crazy, but did I read that Kander and Ebb were also working on a version or interested in doing so? IMHO, I think Our Town is a piece that yearns to be musicalized. It was once for TV, starring Frank Sinatra and Paul Newman and was the source of Frank's classic "Love and Marriage." It also had 3 or 4 other Jule Styne Songs. |
