Yes, and it seemed like the actors had been directed not to project. An usher was announcing before the play that the work was "conversational," and we should consider the hearing devices. That's a new announcement to me.
I believe I heard most of it, but it was an effort. I don't recall any such effort in the Apple family plays, which were just as conversational in nature. |
