Nice review, Eddie. You said the audience was sparse, but would you say the one there were savvy enough to get the jokes? I saw this in Santa Monica some years back, also with a tiny crowd....and aside from my dramaturg daughter and I, they were not getting it. Some shows--like this or THE GLASS MENDACITY or even EQUIVOCATION--play so much better when the audience has the right background.
