Waugh descendant picks Oxford as Bard

I loved the film “Anonymous” which opens with Derek Jacobi as himself and then creates this wonderful tapestry weaving Vanessa Redgrave/Joely Richardson’s exquisite, unexpected portrait of Elizabeth I, the strange story of Essex’s rebellion, the idea that it was “Richard III” not “Richard II” which was put on for that event, Rylance captured doing great Shakespearean speeches, an amazing turn by Rafe Spall as the scalawag Shakespeare....a treasure of a film.
I, too, was very attached to the romantic notion of a somewhat bisexual, charismatic Stratford lad evading his older wife to join the players (especially because of the old-fashioned beauty of the “Cry of Players” playscript by William Gibson), but....well....what if we were all wrong? What if the works were engineered by aristocrats, written by Oxford? Here’s a link about the latest.
Link DeVere as author of the plays
