| So the seating chart including the onstage and banquette seating for Farinelli and the King has been released. It's at the bottom of the enclosed link. The setup for the upper level seats is different than in London, where I think there was only one level on the sides. It looks like the upper level is directly above the lower level, extending down each side of the stage. This is similar to the setup for Twelfth Night, and NOT the setup I had mentioned earlier where the upper level seats were at the rear. There are two rows of seats at each level. If I remember correctly, the back row for the upper level for Twelfth Night was severely obstructed and people said a large part of the stage was not visible. I don't remember what people said about the front row of the upper level. Still no announcement about pricing. |

| There appear to be 64 seats on stage, 32 on each side of the stage, divided into 2 small 16 seat sections of 4 rows each. The last row seats of each section (a total of 18 seats) sell at $32. The rest are at regular orchestra price. I purchased the 4th row seats closest to the audience. Per telecharge, seats are benches with cushions, and some may have no back. I am hoping the last row has some sort of back. |

| Thanks. I'm going to try to get to the box office tomorrow to see if I can get one of those $32 on stage seats. | |

| drummergirl, be careful -- it appears that the only $32 seats are the ones on the upper level in the 2nd row (there are 4 rows in all, but there are 2 rows on the lower level and 2 rows on the upper level). Assuming the setup is the same as for Twelfth Night (and that's a reasonable assumption, since the producers are the same), there was a LOT of complaining that a significant amount of the stage was not visible from those seats. Although at that price, you can see the show once from each side and get the whole picture in 2 portions! |

| I've already bought a $32 front row balcony seat, so that could be interesting. Sorry I can't go to the theatre today, but hope a some of those seats will still be available tomorrow. Sadly, I doubt that the box office will know more about the view and how obstructed it might be at this point. | |

| The telecharge "view from the seat" must be terribly misleading | |

| Take a look at the view telecharge shows from the 4th row onstage seating. | |

| The seats are listed as "upper level" and "lower level," so I think the Telecharge sketch with all the seats at the same level isn't accurate. But it's all speculation here, since the setup is different than in London and there may not be any sightline issues. And there are some posters on the other board who think that the upper level back row seats for Twelfth Night were completely fine to view the show from and a real bargain. One person said it was the best day at the theater he's ever had. And at a price that's less than 25% of the other stage seating, it may be an adventure worth taking. | |
