My bad. I had forgotten about ''Angels.'' I was looking at the list of upcoming shows at BroadwayStars.com, which didn't list ''Angels'' or ''Torch.''
Alas, I can't contact every actor in ''Boys in the Band'' about their schedules, which is why I openly speculated about possible timing conflicts.
My main point was: Since this ''Boys in the Band'' revival begins performances so close to the upcoming Tony deadline, it seems a shame it won't be eligible this season. IF it were acclaimed and got Tony nominations in May 2018, that could also help boost their sales at the box office. Instead, the show will be only eligible NEXT season, when it'll be another 11 months until the 2019 Tony nominations, long after it's closed and gone. |
