I experienced the same situation as the Calgary poster, although most people in our audience didn't wait that long to leave: we all knew it was beyond the theatre's control and that no matter what happened, the spell had been broken.
We received passes to TWO special event screenings, which is even better than passes to regular movies. They stationed two employees at the exit and they took a brief glance at our ticket stubs and handed us the passes and kept offering apologies.
It's so rare to receive good customer service these days I found myself emotionally affected by the efficiency and good will of the approach they took and I felt like Thelma Ritter in MIRACLE ON 34th STREET after Macy's Kris Kringle has told her to go to Schoenfeld's to get what she's looking for:
"I never done much shopping here before..but from now on, I'm going to be a regular Macy customer." |
