| Just adding my praise to this glorious production. Extraordinarily creative, use of the whole theatre (and to have Lea Salonga sing 5 feet away from me, well, wow!) Really not a weak link in the cast but I'm going to single out Kenita Miller, beautiful performance and yes, Alex Newell brings down the house with Mama Will Provide, which sounds like is in the original key, but not sure. The new orchestrations and arrangements only enhance the score. There seemed to be a couple of hiccups with some blocking and a musical phrase, which I'm sure will be worked out (or maybe it was just something that happened last night). Thank you to all involved, a fantastic night in the theatre. |
