"Add the Palace to your list of theatres with "the gods" section. But you don't pay the same price as the circle of the Olivier (not counting those sponsored cheap ticket performances)."
For 'Follies', which isn't part of the Travelex sponsored/subsidised cheap tickets programme, the cheapest seats you could book in advance were £15 - either in the front three rows of the stalls (really not the best view in the Olivier) or at the back and extreme sides of the circle. I'm seeing it from a front row seat next month, and seeing the closing performance from the back of the circle. By comparison, seats in the top balcony for '42nd Street' at Drury Lane are £15 in the back two rows - but mostly £25 and £35. The view from the £15 seats in the circle in the Olivier is far better (not to mention lower down) than anything in the top balcony at Drury Lane. |
