| I first laid eyes (and ears) on him during an engagement with Boston Symphony. I think it might have been the legendary Pique Dame performances, but I am not sure. I knew from that second on that he was a major artist. I never met him face to face but know several people who worked with him closely and all said he was a complete gentleman, always lovely to work with. RIP, the world has lost a great artist. Thankfully we have a fairly extensive recorded legacy. |
