| I loved this production but had similar thoughts about the story, and the implications of it when you layer gender and race lenses over those stretches. When I posted it seemed like the collective thought is "well it's a fable, so no need to think of it through these perspectives". (Pardon the loose paraphrase) Maybe I'm conflating the issues of sparse motivation and it's broader implications, but I think there's something in it worth exploring. |
