Caught this over the weekend. It is not JERSEY BOYS and it is not BEAUTIFUL. It is MOTOWN and should run about as long on Broadway. I would guess that MacNuff's ego stopped him from bringing in a book writer as good as Marshall Brickman, who he battled with over JERSEY BOYS. The result is a book with the depth and gravitas of an ET Special Edition.
