I found Peters approach to the role heavy-handed, but it was in keeping with the overall direction of the show. I missed the dry approach the original cast brought to the proceedings under the direction of Prince and Bennett. Maxwell was best at balancing the direction with the material and Paige the worst. "I'm Still Here" was an angry rant with neither the irony or sense of triumph that the song needs to land.
