After watching this on PBS (didn't get to see it live), I remarked to someone that Bleu is completely wasted in film and television and that he should have a career as the biggest song and dance leading man on Broadway.
I'm not familiar with a lot of his career, but he has charisma for miles and clearly has the chops for Broadway.
The only problem is that there aren't a lot of roles nowadays for a leading man dancer who also sings. I'm trying to come up with a list of roles over the past, say, 10 years that would have suited Bleu. I would hope that he'd inspire writers to create roles and show for him, but that doesn't seem to be how shows are built in the 21st Century. |
