The stage version that began in London used all the same names from the film/TV series - Coco, Leroy, Doris (who's story was that she was overweight) Miss Sherman etc but apparently they couldn't get the licensing for the music, so they only sing half the title song and then repeat it again in Spanish. I actiully quite liked some of the songs, 'In L.A' especially, but if only they had used the music from the TV series! 'I Still Believe' 'Desdemona' 'High Fidelity' etc. It would have made this 80's child very happy.
I'm not ashamed to say that I have the songs from season 1 downloaded :) |
