| Saw yesterday's matinee and was really bored-it's about a druggie mom in 1976 who lives in section 8 housing near Washington Sq with her 2 misfit teens. The boy gets involved in plotting a race riot with 3 other misfit friends. The acting was all over the place and was never believable for an instant. The set is huge and really wide and proves cumbersome with any scenes set in the 2 bedrooms. They're both on the extreme sides and one easily gets a stiff neck trying to focus on the action. Really disappointing;it opens next Sunday so doubt anything can be done to improve it. |
