I think you're exaggerating/misinformed on location issues, and theatre is political (not to mention that I don't think the regular theatregoing audience is split 50/50 on politics, but I haven't done a study). Looks like their location is about a 9 minute walk from Studio 54 - they are off-off-Broadway classification, right? I'm sure rent prices go with location.
