NEW - METEOR SHOWER - Talkin' Broadway's Review

Howard Miller takes a look at Meteor Shower:

Somewhere around the middle of the supremely silly and not-entirely comprehensible comedy Meteor Shower, opening tonight at the Booth Theatre, one of the show's four characters whips out a piece of rubber hose and a hypodermic needle, and proceeds to shoot up. He follows this by snorting some cocaine, and then washes everything down with a gin martini. Consider his addled state as emblematic of the unbuttoned mind of comedian, actor, writer, and bluegrass musician Steven Martin, the creator of this offbeat work, and you'll have a sense of what to expect to see onstage. . . .
