| I feel much the same about what a satisfying play and performance this was, although I loved the Apple and Gabriel family cycles too. I saw an early preview performance and was sitting in the second row center, so I caught 95% of the dialogue. Richard Nelson is one of my favorite, if not THE favorite, living playwrights. His characters often move me to tears. I’m amazed that Illyria has been available on TDF for nearly the entire run. |
