The whole thing was almost completely inaudible -- especially when a back was turned. I looked up and saw about a zillion microphones hanging from the rafters. For what? Maybe they cranked up the sound a little before it opened (although I think Benji remarked in the Times review that it was hard to hear). The only one in the cast who SPOKE UP was John Sanders and I thought that he was relatively LOUD because he was playing the director getting Broadway gigs and his louder voice indicated that he was vulgar and had abandoned art.
