Maybe, maybe not. The first part is acts I & II, the second part is acts III & IV. So at the end of Act II the story's just about fully wound, and nothing at all is resolved in any way.

I've only read the script. And on paper it pretty much sucks. But if they're getting even half of the stage directions onto the stage, the spectacle of it should be amazing. My guess is that it's a must-be-seen for the staging, not so much a must-see for the content. (Dependent on your Potterhead level.) If you're mostly looking to get a sense of the production, only seeing one part probably wouldn't kill you. Though if you only saw the first, you'd probably want to read the second just to know how it all wraps up.

Their answer to "Do I have to see both parts?" is Part One will only be half the story, so the experience would be incomplete without seeing how the story ends. Likewise, if you only see Part Two, you may find it hard to follow the story.
