Hyperbole is a time-honored rhetorical device used in the service of making a point forcefully. I use it frequently. And in fact during Thanksgiving week there were seven (IIRC) Broadway shows whose average paid ticket was above $200. Sure, that was a holiday week, but in a couple of years, that will be the norm.
No one was questioning your ability to seek out bargains, which was not the subject at hand. |
